Day 7 of Humira

I have to say that this is the best I have felt in months! How good do I feel? Played tennis 7 times in 4 days plus rode 20 miles on the bike. Had a little pain here and there but it went away without turning into a flare. I was panicked with the injection since I've heard so many bad things about it, like it burns like mad and the injection site will get infected, but I have had none of those so far. I can't even tell where the injection was exactly. So....so far I am really loving the Humira and since I read the combination of methotrexate with Humira can put me in remission I am even happier. Let's hope this continues!

Day 2 of Humira. It was a great day!

Totally waiting for something to ache but so far so good. Managed to play tennis twice and hit the gym to ride 9 miles. My knees feel better when I ride. No lifting after dental work but plan on restarting that too. Wasn't an intentional stop. No flares going on, no pain when hitting, even withstood the intense heat and sun that hit about 10am. Definitely had a power nap of 20 minutes but I think I earned it. So far, I think I am liking Humira. Down to 5mg of prednisone. That I also like. Still trying to get used to giving myself an injection once a week with the methotrexate. I don't think I ever will. I hate needles.

Humira

Finally got the go today to start Humira with the injectable methotrexate.. I am treating this like everything else. Do what's right for your body (food, supplements, exercise, sleep) and the drug will do what it is supposed to and nothing more. So looking forward to getting off of the steroids. YAY.
